About the Branch
Area Serviced
The Central Island Branch (est Dec 2, 1994) of the Old English Car Club includes 80+members from Duncan to Nanaimo ,Tofino and Comox/Courtney.
Guests and new members are always welcome at our meetings, meetups and events. If this seems interesting we’d love to have you join us.
We meet the 3rd Thursday @ 7:00 pm of every month (except Dec) at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 256 at 1630 E.Wellington Rd (@ Bowen Rd) Nanaimo, BC V9S 5P8.

During our driving season, primarily May through October, we do hold numerous drives of varying lengths. Car shows, local events , BBQs , pub drives and some regular meetups, on the social side of things.
Branch Publications – The “Bulletin” and “BEANO” (British Engineered Automobiles Nanaimo Order)
The Central Island Branch publishes a newsletter available to members of the Club and the public. The newsletter is published on the website and an email is sent to all branch members with a link to the new issue. Back issues are archived online HERE for easy access.

Featured Event: “Brits on the Beach”

Another great gathering that
raised $3,700 for the ladysmith food bank!
“Brits on The Beach” is the biggest event of the year for the OECC’s Central Island Branch.
In 2025, We had about 200 British cars, trucks and motorcycles participating. Participants bring their vehicles from the North island, South island, all over the BC mainland, Washington State, and sometimes even further!
This annual event is a feast for the eyes. You just never know what you’ll see or who you’ll meet!
