Welcome to the South Island Branch of the Old English Car Club of BC
Our purpose is to encourage the use, restoration, preservation and enjoyment of all English vehicles, old and new. We meet once a month (except in December) on the third Monday of the month at the Old School House, Heritage Acres, Saanichton. In December the club has a Christmas party and awards night.
Generally the club meets on the Sunday afternoon following the monthly meeting for a car rally, tour or other activity and follows this with refreshments at a pub or restaurant.
The club hosts two major English car events each year, the Restoration Fair and Swap Meet in April and the English Car Affair in the Park (ECAIP) in September.
The next major event is the OECC Annual General Meeting held in Vancouver, Saturday June 4, sign up HERE. South Island Branch members are encouaged to make nominations for the Annual Society Awards: Montagu of Beaulieu Award and the OXO Cup. You can read a full description of the awards at http://www.oecc.ca/awards.htm. If you would like to nominate a member, please submit a short paragraph listing the person's contributions to Kelly James by May 19.
We have approximately 165 members, who own examples of nearly all marques of English cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles and bicycles. Annual membership is only $25.
