A two day event. On Saturday 11th there will be a scenic and interesting drive throughout Victoria and a great dinner in the evening at the Uplands Golf Club. Sunday will take us to Fort Rodd Hill, National Historic Site, a wonderful setting for the display of classic English vehicles. This 16th annual event takes the form of an English picnic with live entertainment, food service, games, prizes and kiosks.

An invitation from Old English Car Club, South Island Branch

Our branch invites you to bring your English vehicle(s) to the 16th Anniversary annual event of ECAIP (English Car Event in the Park). We are looking forward to an interesting mix of cars. The vehicles featured around the maypole this year will be the ROOTES GROUP.

As usual there will be entertainment throughout the day, plus field competitions, prize draws, a draw to “Win-a ride” in one of three old classics and more. The Bill Vance “Best in British Motoring” award will be presented at the end of the show to a worthy vehicle – this is not a concours award but goes to a vehicle which demonstrates some leading aspect of design, engineering, utility, innovation or style for which the British car industry is renowned. There will also be a “Chairman’s Choice” award, and others.

A distinctive dash plaque will be given to the first 150 registered entrants.

On Saturday afternoon we are organizing a run for the cars starting at 2:30 pm sharp on surfaced roads in the pleasant countryside of Greater Victoria. This will be followed by an informal “meet and greet” for all entrants at a local restaurant. In the evening a no-host bar and three course dinner will be available. Space is limited at this venue and early registration is advised.

We hope you can visit with us and look forward to seeing you in September.

Yours sincerely,
Trevor & Kim Parker, Registrars ECAIP 2010
