March Sidney Museum Tour

Sunday, March 20

The afternoon began at the Hamsterly Beach parking area. Upon arrival at the museum we were welcomed and given a brief introduction by the volunteer staff.

Permanent exhibits occupy the top floor of the museum and comprise a wide variety of subjects, all related to local history.
The downstairs rooms contained the temporary Lego exhibit and we were all amazed at the variety of subjects on display. From Star Wars to the Titanic, nearly anything seems to catch the eye of Lego designers. Quite some time was spent examining the exhibits before the majority of the group departed for refreshments at the Rumrunner Pub.
Our thanks to the Sidney Museum for the group tour and to Events Coordinator Chris Beresford for organizing a very interesting afternoon.
